Party Planner Wanted

This time last year was a real disaster. Traditionally in the Chinese traditional babies are celebrated on their first month (1st June, so 1st July); however Lewis was baptised on the 7th July last year – so we combined the celebrations. Having missed the traditional feast of one month, I decided to plan for a big 1st Birthday Party for Lewis. With about a months planning – it still felt hectic and last minute.

This year is worse! A lot worse up until today it was meant to be for 5 people (i.e. very close family). That invitation just got bigger and has now extended to extended family c.20 people… so tonight was mad rush to Tescos to stock up.

Next year I hope to be abroad or that he has enough friends of his own to call for a McD’s party!

I am now feeling tired just thinking about it… tomorrow will be a day of housework! My dinning room table has been my office for the past 3 months – it will now have to be cleared – as will a lot of my “laying about” yarns and magazines!

Newsletter about 1/2 way there… need to sort out a little more – then we should be done! Off now… not sure when I’ll be back – given the hectic schedule!

Poorly Lewis xx

Poor Lewis is poorly with a fever of 40 C, which has kept me up for the past two nights – so now on very low energy levels.

It is going to be his 2nd birthday this Sunday – so I am hoping he will perk up before the weekend.

Despite the domestic challenge of running the household with a poorly baby – I managed to photograph all the odd balls last night with Gebbies help. And everything is up there today! I have put it all on a 5 days listing – so it will run over the weekend – make sure you click in to pick up a bargain – all listings are starting at 99p.

The Weekend

In terms of work – it was unproductive… the rainy weather made it a very slow weekend with low energy levels. We had a great response to the BLOG discount code and Yarn Box was very busy. But none of the discount or ebay work was done. There was always some distraction.

I am determined to get the site updated this week – and maybe squeeze in a newsletter too. Ebay will have priority over those things as I urgently need to de-stash!

Big preparations are happening again for Lewis’ birthday. Despite me saying this one is low key – I spent the morning deciding on the cake and went for a 12″ Strawberry Gateaux. Yummy! Sunday will be his big day! Turning 2 already! Where has the time gone?

Busy Weekend

This is going to be a busy weekend for me… it is already packed full of ideas.

With an early start to tomorrow, Tiffy and I will be taking Lewis to a full day of shopping. Then Sunday is reserved for Daddy. Monday is still pending… it will depend on the weather – and currently the forecast is not good.

Besides all of this personal stuff – I will also try to fit in writing the next newsletter and working out new special offers. I will also have to de-stash at some point… so look out for my ebay profile!

The weekend…

So what did you do this weekend? It was a rather dismal weekend – very different to the one we had had before – so what did you do?

I decided to make (finish is the correct term),  this little amigurumi:

Amigurumi is great for a short one ball project – one that you can complete in a weekend!
