Beautiful Sunshine

Filed under: Uncategorized — yarnbox @ 4:32 pm

It is a gorgeous day outside and let’s not pretend. We would all love to be outside today. I particularly miss Lewis on a day like this. He loves the garden, the watering of the plants and him riding his bikes.

The weekend was rather hectic. Saturday began with a punctured tyre – which was only noticed when I was leaving the house with Lewis to playgroup – I had to call Daddy – who arrived as quick as a flash and whisked us off and also collected us. Fixing the problem then took up of what remained of the morning. Saturday afternoon was spent in one of my favourite shops “Handweavers Studio” in E17. It has the most amazing collection of wooltops. I bought 2kg of wool tops for the felting projects I promised myself to do.

TT helped me in the afternoon with my first felting project whilst Ernest kept Lewis occupied with the Cars cartoon. (Pictures to follow.)

Sunday was occupied by a promised shopping trip with Mummy and my sisters – I was shattered by the time we returned – but the beautiful weather induced me to do some gardening. Lewis is my little helper with his watering bucket. After about an hour – the “shattered” had moved onto feeling like a total collapse – so I told Lewis we can no longer stay out – mummy needs a rest. He actually understood what I was saying and helped me pack things away! As soon as I got in I collapsed onto the sofa and slept – he looked after me well – putting his teddy blanket over me (as I would over him when he was asleep)! He really amazes me!

Taking on too much at once

Filed under: Uncategorized — yarnbox @ 10:35 am

Again – I am trying to be Superwoman taking too much on at once!

I have finally broken down with a cold (probably from Lewis) and now feeling miserable and still have a long day ahead of me! If only I can win the lottery – do you ever feel like that sometimes?

A Birthday Party

Filed under: Uncategorized — yarnbox @ 12:17 pm

Poor Lewis – it was his second birthday on Sunday. He had a fever of 40 C, a runny nose and a nasty cough! Though he was still as lovely as ever and brought smiles to everyone…

The WHOLE family was here – lots and lots of people. The plan was to send everyone out to the garden – but that was not possible with the miserable weather – so my humble house fit in 20+ people, lots of children, lots of food and lots of drink.

Mummy was wonderful – without her – it would not have worked – she was shopper, cook, host and cleaner! Where would this world be without mum?

Here is a quick snap shot of Lewis and his cake – we did not have many photos – he was not in a photo mood!

 And his presents:
