So what have you been up to this long weekend? I can not believe we are already we are 2/3 of the way through our weekend.
Saturday: After enjoying a gym session with dad – I had my weekly Mandarin class . All in all a very productive day.
Today was spent at my grand-mother’s. She really enjoys time with Lewis a lot. We got over there in time for lunch and spent a long afternoon there. Today’s to-do list has been half acomplished- so I think I have done well. I managed to pop down to the supermarket and book shop.
The best highlight would be this evening. For those of you who know me, will know that I am too busy to cook most the time, and for the times I try to cook – it always goes wrong! Well today was different. Gettting home early enough helped. So we ate dinner just past 6, and all the dishes had been done. So I decided to play with Lewis in the garden, on his swing, on his bike, on the bubble machine, with his mini football… water the flowers… it was a lovely evening together. He now really values time spent together – which makes it more worthwhile for me too.
After getting very messy with his bubbles – we headed straight to bath… then as I was sorting out the hairdryer for him – he said “mummy, I have to help you out” and he was dragging his bath towel to the bathroom (over the floor of course) – I said “it’s ok darling – mummy will do it later”, he replied “no – I must help you, mummy!” That was so so so sweet of him! Of course that did mean he now needed a towel change, after he draped his one over the floor – but I was really hit by the fact he insisted on helping me with something! Again – I must say – my baby is growing up too quickly!
With this in mind – I start to question whether if I should go part-time for the rest of this year – until he goes to school full-time at 3?! Part-time would mean a big hit to the household income – but time with him is too precious to be lost – my dilemma.
